Brake tests on this dynamometer are conducted to demonstrate compliance with various industry and statutory specifications and requirements.

The dynamometer is currently programmed to conduct tests on brake pads and brake linings for light passenger and light commercial vehicles according to the requirements of the:

1. Economic Commission for Europe Regulation 90
2. Australian Design Rule ADR 31/01 Annex 7
3. South African compulsory specification applicable to replacement brake lining assemblies as published in Notice No. R95 appearing in Government Gazette No. 22014 dated 2 February 2001.
